The MCBO Blog

This video demonstrates the design, build and installation of a containerised steam boiler plant. The design process involved CAD 3D modelling to optimise the floor space. The container was then converted to include electrics, ventilation and a robust steel floor. The plant installation was done in stages, with the hotwell tank,  blowdown vessel and steam distribution header sited prior to positioning the Byworth steam boiler and the installation of all connecting pipework.

The whole unit was steam tested and given a final coat of paint before being loaded onto a transport and sent to Cornwall for final siting and commissioning. The majority of our works carried out prior to despatch allowed for a very streamlined operation on-site, keeping disruption at the factory at an absolute minimum.
