We apply traditional boilermaking techniques to rebuild or repair all types and age of heritage steam boiler, often using techniques no longer widely practised. These are exactly the skills that we practise at McEwen Boilermakers on a regular basis.
From the initial enquiry to the final steam test, we provide a comprehensive service that allows customers to feel safe in the knowledge that their boiler will be returned to its former glory. Over many years of operating from our Farling Top Boilerworks, we have undertaken the complete restoration of numerous Traction Engine, Steam Roller, Steam Tractor, Steam Boat and Vintage Shell Boilers i.e. Lancashire or Cornish Mill Boilers.
The range of work on each project can vary massively, depending on the condition of the boiler, but wherever possible we try to salvage as much of the original boiler so that its historical value is retained. We regularly undertake:
