We are looking for an experienced and competent Mechanical Fitter to join our family-run industrial engineering business. The candidate needs to have worked on industrial sites and ideally has experience working on steam or other process-related systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
The role will involve working across the UK from our West Yorkshire based company. The candidate will need to be hardworking and reliable and have a trustworthy attitude. A full clean UK driving license is essential and at least two references will be requested.
Working duties will include:
- Working as part of the service team carrying out boiler annual servicing, valve overhauls and testing.
- Preparing boilers and other pressure equipment for Non-Destructive Testing.
- Joining the projects team as and when required on plant installations.
- Assisting the repair teams as and when required.
- General fitting work.
The business is based between Skipton and Keighley, it is essential the candidate is within commuting distance of the works.
A service vehicle will be supplied on completion of a suitable probation period.
Industry-specific training will be provided.
Qualifications
Experience: 3 years in general engineering
Licenses: Full clean UK driving license preferred.
